And The Worst Part

AvaCoss

And the worst part:

You can miss the moon's misty light

as you dance in its gaze.

You can miss the moon afterward,

in the morning,

even whilst knowing

that it will return of a night.

And the opportunity to dance

in the same circumstance

will come in its company.

You miss it

because you don't want similar,

you want the same.

Reassurance that you will release

the same amount of dopamine

in the presence

of the same people

and the same things

in the same place

forever

is priceless.

But, my god, shouldn't we all know by now? Searching for that reassurance is pointless, as it doesn't exist, and it's just wishful thinking. Fuck.

    I enjoyed reading your poem.
And yes looking for reassurances is often pointless.
