Good Thing

Charles Edward York

Good Thing

I want to keep your memory
Close to my heart
And manifest your spirit
In my eyes, mouth,
Hands and feet.

In me you have brought life
Things I once thought
Left in slumber
A joy I never knew
Blossoms and sings.

Let us make something new
Fashion a faith
That embodies us both
In our eyes, mouth
Hands and feet.

In you my joy is eternal
Even in a dark world
Your light burns brightest
And love needed most
Grows good things.
