Yes, I am home but I have to wonder if I am though. You should not have to wonder if you are home, but I sit here in an unfamiliar area where I have spent my innocent childhood, my rebellious teenage years and the unforgiving now. I know the twists and turns of the road leading to a house where I have lived for far too many years but pulling in the driveway does not make me at ease. I have never felt the comfort of being at home because I don’t think I’ve ever been. It’s a house I can get to without directions but I never feel like I am in the right place. I feel uneasy as I walk through the same front door as I’ve been walking in through years. I arrive at a house but I never have come home.
