Rascal

Jason Jesko

There once was a lad renowned for his speech

Not a crowd upon which his songs did not reach

So when the queen cried he brought to the castle

To provide her a smile, this debonair rascal

He did his best work as he hummed his tune

Quite arrogant as he watched her swoon

Swift succulent muse as she sang along

They quick intertwined in delicate song

Such tenor and tone traipsing the halls

As new blissful sound speckled the walls

The grand crescendo then duly provoked

As climatic conclusion and melody spoke

His duty then done he left as he came

Collecting his fee in the call of his name

When the queen cried again quick to the castle

With sly smirking smile, this debonair rascal
