Navigating the waters
Feeling overwhelmed and a bit lost
Not quite shipwrecked
Yet all decisions come with a cost
Waves continue crashing over
Night turns into day
Which to choose:
Keep on steering through the storm
Or let the tide guide my way

An apt comparison for life's upheavals is the force of tide and power of breakers - a poem to read and remember dear Raven. - - your appealing imagery touches the core of coming to right decisions. Good to see you posting again .
Thank you for the lovely feedback, Fay 🙂
its what we do, isn't it .. or rather what we have to do .. it is sometimes best to go with the flow .. at least until ya get your breath back and can see through the mist and fog .. Good luck my lovely & remember, we are all in your corner .. x
Thank you very much 🙂 Yes, you are right. I like to be in control, but it doesn't have to be of everything.
It happened to St Paul (Acts Chapter 27). He had some spiritual knowledge that it would be bad to journey on. A ship's captain went ahead with the voyage though, and they ended up shipwrecked.
But yes - take the voyage, whatever weather - anything to get away from my singing! lol.
Hahah! Sound advice then 😛
wonderfully succinct
and intimate in tone
while offering little context..
really well penned, dear Poet
and yes
we all need to ride our own waves
before we can look around
and sail, life's gridlocked sea's..
thanks for sharing
and even if you don't share
keep that mighty pen, dancing
Thank you very much 🙂 yes, my dancing pen helps keep my dancing mind at ease!
