Hypocrisy

Sharvari

I'm a hypocrite.
I want you too,
But I reject you
On the same grounds,
I feel are utterly outrageous.
These emotions inside me
Feel explosive, dangerous.
I'm ashamed too.
I think we could've been friends
If only I had left behind
Some prejudices.
And gone with some trends
My regrets would be.
Even if I had a muddy past,
Atleast my conscience
Would be clear and just.
I wouldn't need to reconsider
Every step, word, message and tone.
But in the end
I'm also human.
I wish I could go back in time
Maybe, just maybe
I wouldn't be a hypocrite.
