We cannot imagine
how you must have felt
Those last few moments
do you know that they knelt
Beside you, my friend
the matter decided
No explanation
to us was provided.
It feels most unfair
no option was given
Likely you'd choose home
nothing against Heaven.
Now gone from our world
we don't understand why
And unable to explain
these emotions inside.
Our souls are tortured
countless tears we have cried
A man of your caliber
should have lived not died.
One thing is quite certain
your legacy isn't small
The impression you made
helped shape us all.
We love you Joe.
We miss you already.
