Gardener

Alexander Pope III

If there is an ache in my heart

For a garden, I immediately depart

Trees and flowers know my scent

They immediately issue happiness consent

Someone who is not afraid of daily toil

Mixes the heart with soil

Transcending human sphere

Adverse weather, Gardeners don’t fear

One is a magician if one knows, how to sow their own seed

A beautiful garden is every house’s need

‘O’ gardener sow me in your garden

As a flower, I may take your life’s burden
