I thought all of my hope was gone until i heard your voice 

You showed my broken down body of bones that i still had a choice

And i did everything a person could do trying not to hurt you 

So i pray to God that he'll be with you, don't let this upset you 

 

But i won't make it through the night 

 

Don't forget me 

Or any of our memories

Keep me in your heart even when the flowers by my grave start getting old

And remember

Life will soon get better

Let me hear you cry so I'll know i had a life that was worth living for 

 

I didn't think it would work out cause i was such a mess

But you broke through all my walls somehow and became my best friend

And I've heard that you've been wearing so much that blue t-shirt lately

The one i got you from the thrift store when i was broke on your birthday

 

You couldn't be a better friend

 

Don't forget me 

Or any of our memories

Keep me in your heart and all of our pictures on your wall

And remember

You couldn't have loved me better

It's selfish but i hope you'll wait a bit before moving on

 

I'm sorry that i left 

But please don't forget me yet

    Such a heartbreaking poem. It portrays the lowest moment in ones life. And the beautiful friendship shared between two souls. It’s really heart wrenching ! Well written my friend ❤️

      Thank you! I've been thinking lately about how i want my best friends to remember me when I'm gone. I hope they can keep me in their hearts and stick to the good times. This is the only way i can keep on living if i die. Through their thoughts, the way they'll talk about me and reminisce the days we spent together, through the feelings we shared. It probably sounds sad, but i find such comfort in that thought.

        So true, I had similar thoughts as well. Long after our death memories will continue to live on through friends reminiscing good old times and it’s also important to remember whatever the good we do is remembered even after death and same goes with the bad.
