another year i've been stuck in this
state of permanent paralysis
watching tail lights and street fights
the never-ending analysis
another year half-way gone
and it didn't seem too long
it slipped away wherever time goes
whatever time is carried on
and i know there's no getting back
stuck on the train of life on track
fast as hell into the black
i know there's no getting back
but she has weird thoughts
and i like them a lot
who's to say what we've got
and i'm bulletproof
but heavy as hell
trapped under this heavy spell
there's no way to go from here
all this time just disappears
all this time another year
another year is all i want
but i'm living life back to front
watching drive-bys by candlelight
stuck in the middle of wrong and right
but another year is half-way gone
stuck in the middle of right and wrong
it slipped away with morality
and all it left is you and me
she has weird thoughts
and i don't know what we've got
