a poet's tears

arqios

some time, somewhere, out there

someone had said
that one part of poetry
is a reservoir that holds
all the sadness of this world

What then does this say of a poet?

it is not seen how
that portion poets bear
bare on virginal leaves
all their flight and fears

are tears morphed in pressed ink

    lol
    I don't know, I think most
    poet's, worry more
about their spelling and grammatical, mistakes
    than having some warped notion
    of carrying the world
    on their scrawny shoulders..
    (but then I wouldn't know
    I'm a mere wannabe
    maybe one day
for while I breathe, I can still dream)
    lol

True, L.B. perhaps there are now more variants than what has been recorded handed down to us. Thanks for your words in response.

I think that the soul of the poet sees deeper, feels deeper, and can't help but express. That expression prods us to think deeper. Well done poet!

Thanks, Bella Shephard! I have heard some time ago that this sensitivity and depth is almost shamanic and very spiritual in its feel.
