The Taunted Mind

The Mind Writer

I heard the words they didn’t say
I read between the lines
Sometimes I wonder if I can turn off my mind
I shut my mouth to keep the peace
But those thoughts taunt me before I go to sleep
I walk around like everything is fine
Sometimes I wonder if I can turn off my mind
It tells me that snakes are slithering & whispering behind my back
Then my soul feels under attack
I walk around like everything is fine
Sometimes I wonder if I can turn off my mind
Is this real?
What I feel?
Or does my soul need to heal?
I walk around like everything is fine
Sometimes I wonder if I can turn off my mind
