Between Two Lovers

Charles Edward York

Between two lovers
The wheel of night turns
A million times a million eyes
Spinning
Our ring of two becoming one
Broken yesterdays
Transform into a perpetual circle
Our kiss joining together
One heart in amorous manifest,
No beginning, no ending
A fire, burning with eternal force
Lighting the dark and lonely universe

Harmony bound in shadow
Dances undone in the afternoon
Under the canopy of the source
One creation of two
Makes love in tandem motion
Streams and palpitations
Color us in cosmic gold
Our spirits beam in radiance of nude
As we weave our tapestry
Everything awake slips into dream
Our bodies together
With nothing between
Make the stars wish they were human.
