Let You In

Jason Jesko

You prance through my thoughts on little slight steps

So surprisingly quiet as you work your way in

Painting a picture of us in a series of pieces

Made of soft conversation and sweet little kisses

You whisper the hints; leave the air of your scent

Where long brunette strands were just candlelit

Once so sure and so certain that I’d never give

And now I open the door wide as I let you in
