Friends don’t hurt friends
But lovers hurt lovers
And sisters hurt brothers
and from experience, I know that
Pain exits others and flows right into us
And when daughters miss their mothers
That’s when their life force is all dried up
And it takes me back, my hands are tied
And I'm handcuffed to the side
Of a building
Fighting the urge to get on my knees kneeling
Screaming to god, does he know what Im feeling
Maybe he knows and that’s why I feel so low
But still, I don’t know...
Did you ever really love me? Did you ever really care?
You thought you were above me, but deep down you were scared
Of a world without some girl, you didn't give a damn about me

Somehow your writing pulls me in! Thanks for sharing!
I'm glad you liked it 🙂
'Friends don’t hurt friends'
you have some amazing friends..
lol
thanks for sharing, related to your
'matter of fact' tone and wording
Do you ever notice how if your friends hurt you, they aren't really friends? If someone you are in a relationship with hurts you people say its normal
I'm not sure dear poet, probably
we're at differing points in our journeys
of life
where I'm at, BFF's are names that cut
deep, when recalled
and friends are something that take
years to make...
enjoy, your bust-ups and make-ups
it only becomes, really bad
when you can't be bothered to get emotional
since you've become, too
'world weary' to invest that much in relationships
since, you assume they'll will deteriorate
given enough time...
hopefully you won't feel this way, ever
but till then, just enjoy the ride
and try to be kind
but
stay away from sly, toxic individuals
those turds never change their ways
only solution
is to keep them out of your life!
(well, that's my 2 cents worth
yup, it's free for a reason..)
lol
