Your skin seems older than before
Guess time has a strong grip
You cannot stand up anymore
And it's only been a week
Your mind's still sharp but not your tongue
It takes too much to speak
The air is hard, your bed is cold
Your lungs are now too weak
But i promise not to get you off my mind
I will always think of you, carry you all my life
Your voice sounds rough, i guess we don't have that long
But that's fine, i still love it when i hear you sing your favourite song
You talk with me like nothing's wrong
Ignoring your poor sight
You make me feel so safe and warm
Like when i was a child
You ask the same things more than once
They say it's not alright
But don't you worry about that
I'll answer every time
And i promise not to get you off my mind
And if i think a hundred thoughts you'll be ninety nine
Eyes always shut, i guess we don't have that long
But that's fine, i still love it when i hear you sing your favourite song
And one day you will have to fly
But for me you'll never die
And that day when we will have to part
I'll be there to hold your hand
Angels will creep upon your bed
And bring your pain into an end
But even then i will not get you off my mind
I will always think of you, carry you all my life
Your memory will be a treasure I'll keep
At dark times, your favourite song will lead me safely back to sleep
Just once more brace yourself and sing with me our favourite song

Such an emotional tear- jerking poem! I am so sorry for your loss, it’s evident you had a close relationship with your grandmother. But I am sure she’s is watching over you and that she is really proud of her granddaughter ❤️ So beautiful indeed!🥺 one of my favorites!
Thank you so much! I'm glad you're so fond of my little poem. I really appreciate your opinion. I hope to see more of yours again soon 😊. I do believe my grandmother is watching over me somehow. This probably won't sound believable, but during a very stressful school period i dreamed of her. She told me to be strong and positive and she promised i would do well on my exams. Guess what...she was right! I made it to the university i wanted and I'm thankful to her for advising me even after her death...
