Love will not thunder down the skies,
a drop of dew lost in the rain,
a breeze that picks up a strand of hair,
a murmur of a beating heart,
a January promise,
always in a shadow...
of grand gestures and poetry,
of lust and lies,
and a cry of desperate loneliness.
Love will not shine upon meadows,
a careful choice,
a hopeless scheme,
a bickering of passion,
a dying ember.
the reckless struggle...
of diminishing sanity,
of sweet pain,
and prayer in abandoned hope.
Love will break, bind and kill.
Love will laugh, weep and hate.
And amidst it all...
Love will still persevere.

- Comment from author about the poem: From a lot of fluff, I've written... I thought this was worth sharing. I'm not a poet, I just want to pretend for a little while.
