Rose Garden 🌹

Nandawula Regine Kabali-Kagwa

Rose was wilting
Rot tainted Her skin like a violent bruise
A pure sign of violence inflicted
But it wasn't from the consequences of a physical form
She didn't suffer brutality of that kind

Oh no

Her roots lie in a disarray like a disorientated tear streak
Stem weary, a replica of poor posture... No confidence
All at the expense of vile resentment
And... Grudges that poison thy delicate Rose
Now she's flawed, radiance waning like the moon

Oh no

But worry not because She set herself free
As if her soul is transitioning into spring... New beginnings
Because she... Forgave
She set herself free

Oh yes

Redemption dripped from Her Bud
Uncalculated happiness burst and burnt what's left of her flaws
She now stands beautiful and proper
Like a Rose... A ravishing Rose
