There, still there?

moonfire

Are you there? Still there?
The thumping of a heart within me
Familiar, does not feel mine
Since that dreadful night.
Ignorant child of the brave and strong!
My veils are no more opaque,
My walls are no more concrete.
Detest as I did always the weak,
Weakness befalls on me today.
Yearning for the warmth of your embrace
in this unknown chill,
My bare soul lay still.

If you are there, still there
Don't take my hand as I stumble,
Lie with me, star-gazing
Let your stolen glances affirm
You are there, still there.

    Personally
    I look inside, myself
    if their echo
    still reverberates, in my pulse
    resonates with my hopes
then, I whisper a silent wish
    and hope, they're well
    wherever they are
    and that maybe our path
    will cross again
    while their, taint
    still lingers, in my heart..
cos we can't reverse 'too late'
    once
    that threshold has been crossed
    and yeah, Time
has no power here, days to decades
    there's no limitations, to fate..
    (thanks for sharing, dear poet)
