Before the Garden goes Dorment

Before the Garden goes Dormant

A last display of beauty

In spite of barren stems

A thriving rose renders in velvet pink.

In dazzling hues of orange

Hibiscus outperforms

A slumbering hydrangea.

Lighting up the spot

Birds of Paradise guests of honor

On a cloudy day

Before the garden, goes dormant

  • Comment from author about the poem: On December 2020, after my daily walk I came upon my home garden and noticed how some of the plants were still doing so well! I felt inspired to write this poem.

    (Indeed
    Nature's, wondrousness
    is truly limitless
    yet, if unnoticed
    it dissipates, into
    nothingness..
    so
    we must strive, to find
    the wisdom
    to appreciate it, while
    we can..)
    thanks for sharing, such
    an important message
