Feline Friends

Sofia Mease

There was a cat

A black cat

Every morning the black cat sat

On the big black bay window

The cat sat on the big black bay window because

There was another cat she saw

He was a gray cat

A gray and white cat, whose name was Buddy

Buddy and the black cat were friends

Every day

Buddy and the black cat would look at each other

They had a sort of connection that either one of them could describe

A great connection.

And since Buddy and the black cat’s neighbors were great friends

The black cat would occasionally see Buddy every week or so

And the two cute cats would sit

On the big black bay window, blissfully.

    a wonderful read, thank you
    'intimate comfort is indeed
    nurtured
    in mutually supportive silence..
    then expressed, via
    mutually attentive, thoughtfulness'
