Snoring, scratching, picking his nose,
what a delight he gives me to watch whilst clipping his toes.
At the beginning it was hair done, clean pants and taking me out everywhere,
now after 16 years of marriage I just find myself giving him a look of despair.
Washing his clothes and cooking his dinner,
he thinks he is hilarious when he comes in saying,
"winner, winner chicken dinner".
In the early days he was handsome and fit,
now when I look at him all I see is a moaning old git.
I guess I am not the only one who is married and fills this way about her man,
I am not the only one who would rather go to bed with a cuppa and some chocolate,
then being bothered to dress up to look all glam.
Child birth and hormones make me feel so glum,
yet he still expects me to giggle when he gives a slap on my bum.
Women are from Venus and men really are from mars,
my husbands thinking space is filled up with food, boobs and cars.
16 years ago standing at the altar taking my vows,
we giggled whilst saying them, in love and away with the clouds.
Now when I think of the list of them,
we must have nearly done them all,
except for the one at the end, and when that comes,
one of us will be having a ball.
