Our Home

Harrison03

How can a world full of nature and green
seem so desolate, selfish, and mean

Our home used to flourish
and species could thrive
blue were the oceans
and so were the skies

Then we came along
polluting whatever we touched
from creating landfills
to the burning of wood

Now our home wilts
as we fester and watch
through the dying trees
and masses of smog

Our home's name is Earth
she's one in a billion
let's treat her as such
and commence the healing.
