What riveting ardour
the sunlight on my skin
the sunset colouring me in a multitude of shades
the goosebumps that rise as the sun plays on my skin
the warmth I feel
it flows down to my inner body
igniting a fire inside my body
I flush with warmth
feeling centuries of light rush through my veins
the same heat at the core of the earth
the same heat that churns in the hearts of mountains
I’m a flint that has just been struck
a burst emerges and forms a smile on my face
my body moves toward the sun
my neck cranes upwards
I now feel the full force of the golden ray
a delight delicate
yet strong
uplifting and hopeful
the sun dances on my skin gracefully
like an acrobat on a tightrope
it dims and brightens
in an everlasting symphony
