Won't you be with me soon?

Odessa Gray

All those lovely days have passed

You might have been forgotten

But you’ll stay deep inside my heart

You’re the best friend the world has gotten

Will we ever meet again

Will I see you face to face

Time is running, days are short

We’ve all got things to pace

Trees are growing, places change

I still cannot find you

Where've you been? Where are you now?

I’ll search for you out in the blue

I know life is boring

But you make it fun for me

When will you be back, my friend

Be back soon with me please?

I know that day is coming

it's been long since I had someone to endear

It may not be soon, but some day

We’ll dine with a cup o’ cheer
