Neon glow in the summer evening
Looks can be deceiving
Illuminate the silhouette
To see if there’s still breathing, still a beating heart
Dance to the rhythm of the paper thin hymn
Neon glow against your eyes
The rain falls down to illumine a disguise
Of peace in this weather, are these hearts bound until forever?
Or will you change like the weather?
I am faithful to a fault and discernment doesn’t come cheap
What you sow, you reap.
Your eyes, the ocean, look in mine and tell me what you see
Holy Spirit guide me, Father invite me, to your daughter’s side
Neon glow, illumine the pathway, where the games we played died with age
Does life come from the light behind the eyes of another?
Are we meant to be or is this a test for you and for me?
Neon glow in the summer evening
Dance to the rhythm of the paper thin hymn
