My mum

deney77

Mum my friend,
always and to the end.

Always there to talk to,
keeping me occupied with ideas on things to do.

Mums are there through thick and thin,
teaching me about life and how to grow a thick skin.

When things are bad, it does not really matter,
I would just go to see my mum for a cuppa and a natter,
that made everything better.

When I fell over or got upset and even when I was giving birth,
it was always mum I would shout for as I always only wanted her first.

Through my life my mum was always drying my tears and listening to my fears,
yet when I shout for her now I hope and think she hears.

You see my mum has now passed away,
dementia was the cause of taking her away.

I love my mum and always will,
I find myself sometimes just sitting or standing still,
hoping one day my heart may start to heal.

So look after your mum and always let her know she is loved,
as mums in life will always be your best bud.
