This is the confidence that we
Have in our Lord, here see
That if according to His will
We ask, He hears us still
And if we know He does us hear
Whatever we ask here
We know [that] we have the petitions
We asked Him for, each one
So coming to His throne of grace
Steady and even pace
He will not deny or refuse
If His good will we choose
Give us wisdom, teach us to pray
That we follow your way
Your 'Or Father' prayer be our guide
And with us e'er abide
