        I did come across a version of Rose\'s are red that I quite liked. I wish I could claim I wrote it, but I didn\'t.

        Roses are red.
        Violets are blue.
        Sugar is sweet
        and so are you.

        But the roses are wilting.
        The Violets are dead.
        The sugar bowl\'s empty
        and so is you head.
