Journey By Tyger

Carol D

Blake’s dread tyger’s fiery grasp

Lights imagination anew

Egress and peregrination

Perambulate a journey true

Carnations strewn on endless roads

Of fainting reds and purple hues

Mirrors celestial glints above

Gathering courage light imbued

Reflecting faces shine below

Seeking out a sun’s warmth and love

Collecting up the hidden clues

Looking for answers as we go

Searching for all the hidden truths

Uncertainty dogging us thus

Life’s veracity shimmers through

In every step, knowledge and trust

And the sparrows’ clarion calls

Makes daylight jig with happiness

As silken leaves in silence fall

Into the final days of rest

And songs of dreams enthralling deep

With universal secrets kept

Infinite ages reach unseen

Searching from beginning to end

Balance of life and ageless sleep

And Cosmic stars the heavens wept

And Cosmic tears the heavens wept

  • Comment from author about the poem: Been working on this one since Mid-May and still tweaking it. Also, I used Blake\\\'s spelling of Tiger as Tyger from his poem. It\\\'s a work in progress.
