My Existential Crisis

All my life I thought I was the good guy

That all my efforts were a good try

But it turns out I make mistakes

Even when I know all the stakes

 

I know I'm not perfect

And that that's okay to be

But I always thought I'd try

To be who I portray to be

 

I want to be someone who always acts right

Who listens and thinks before he acts, right?

Someone who would stand up when the big men fight

And someone to teach the world about the real light

 

But I'm not the person I want to become

So I'll work until I like the outcome

And if every day I work to improve

I know that every day is the right next move
