Tune: All Saints
('Who are these like stars appearing?')
Psalm 86 v. 8-12
*********
Among the gods there is none to
Compare to the Lord, good, true
Neither are there any works to
Compare of to match to you
Lord of all, reigns high above
Yet draws near to us in love
All nations who you have made shall
Come, worship you, this we tell
And the day shall come when we see
It for sure, Amen, so be
All shall your name glorify
Shall proclaim you, not deny
For you are great, and wonders do
You are God alone, our view
Is of you by faith, all else be
Idols, gods of vanity
Guide us to our hearts set on
You Lord, and Christ, He your Son
Teach me your way, O Lord, I will
By your grace follow you still
Will walk in your truth, unite me
Heart to fear you by and by
With that heart I will you praise
Glorify your name all days

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 8.7.8.7.8.7. format. A less known hymn maybe, but lively tune, I think.
