The Feeling

The feeling
It's sudden
The thoughts come after the feeling
Were the thoughts there first?
Hidden in the back of my mind
Did the thoughts cause the feeling
Or did the feeling cause the thoughts?
They're there now
It doesn't matter anymore
I'm thinking now
And I'm feeling now
It's too much
But it feels like it's not enough
I don't deserve to feel okay
I should be upset
It kind of feels good by now
The feeling
It's wrong, I know
And when I'm happy, that'll feel better
But not now
Now I deserve this
I can't handle life
I can't clean or work
I can't cook
I rely on people in order to live
It's embarrassing
Guess that's just what the feeling makes me think about
That feeling
It'll go away
One day

  • Comment from author about the poem: Just having a feeling today. Writing helps me cope. I feel better after writing this poem, I felt a bit better. It's still hard to get things done but the feeling is fading.
