Unsaid

a thousand wishes

The crying, I can hear it clearly

My heart sinks all the way down to my stomach

As it beats so intense and so painfully

Each heartbeat is like a knife through my chest

Each footstep is like a shot to the head

Each and every single emotion is a piece of

A puzzle that I'd rather not solve

Each word stings like a jellyfish

But there's no cure for these bruises

Or for these scars that are so clear

Plain as day, on the inside

You could look through my eyes

And see through to my soul

And there they'd be

From the knife through my chest up to the shot to my head

The scars are as deep as the words left unsaid
