You Are (Not) Alone

Milind Gautam

The pages were not enough to imbue her agony,
So she draws on her skin.
Each stroke embodies her sorrow,
Each cut has a story.
It's like her soul wants to be freed from something terrible
Or
wants to disappear into the ether,
It's like she doesn't wanna live and doesn't wanna die,
Her strange dilemma,
Between the fires she weeps.
So I broke the enigma of silence and said to her, "I draw too".

It's like she doesn't wanna live and doesn't wanna die,
This is a nice line that can come out as relatable to many.
