ELUSIVE

Lily May Emerald

DREAMS, WISHES, DESIRES, GOALS,
SCATTERED LIKE FALLEN LEAVES
IN THE AUTUMN WIND;
LIKE SNOWFLAKES IN WINTER,
MELTING BEFORE VISION
CAN TAKE THEM IN;
LIKE FRAGILE FLOWER PETALS,
BLOWN AWAY BY A STORM IN SPRING,
LIKE THE MORNING DEW ON GRASS,
DRIED BY THE SUMMER SUN.
WHAT SEASON IN TIME
CAN MAKE THEM REAL?
WHAT MOMENTS IN TIME
CAN MAKE THEM STAY?
CAUGHT IN  ELUSIVE MOMENTS,
AS TIME GETS IN THE WAY.
