Fake reality

Kushagra_0306

We love to believe in our fake reality,

To save us from life’s brutality.

Over the years we suppress all our emotions,

After a point it causes an explosion.

We blame everyone for it but ourselves,

But the real culprit is our fragile little heart.

Dealing with emotions is brutal,

But suppressing it is futile.

I thought you were the problem,

But it was all me.

I thought I loved you,

it was barely even an attraction.

Love is supposed to last forever,

But with you it was terror.

I used to cry for not being together,

Being together have only been displeasure.

We ended before we even started,

Now seeing you only reminds me of only how we parted.

Now when I looked into your eyes,

All I saw was a possibility of what never was.

I stayed in a fake reality for 6 months,

Hoping our end was but a dream.

Now I realise the end was the beginning,

The beginning of a new life.
