Escape

akasha14

Your kiss was like a shot gun to my lips.
When there should have been light I was engulfed in darkness, from a past that I cannot escape.
Trapped in chaos, of all the things that are not said. Show me your light.
I am haunted, the demons speak to me, how do I let go of a world so familiar.
Drowning in the memories, coming up for air, searching for the meaning, can I take you there?
Push, pull the dark settles in like a warm blanket, covered in a haze of what could have been.
Grasping for a breath that I have long forgotten, taking a leap, fighting my way back. Do you want to walk with me?
Take my hand, we can make our stand.
Our souls will always meet on the edge of forever.
