Six million lives lost
another 20 in the field
men and women across the globe
brutalised, slaughtered, and killed
Dreams of children dragged away
hopes of future fade to gray
an air of terror suffocates all
through winter, spring, summer, and fall
Never lost to time
77 years have gone
lest we forget
the fallen.
