Notice of absence from Doggerel Dave
Not absent - still here!
Keep Calm and Carry On Poeming. 😂
Not absent - still here!
Keep Calm and Carry On Poeming. 😂
After ill advised questions to China
Export loss as China focused its aim.
Thus Oz sought fresh interest in Europe -
And shipments of sunshine is now the main game.
Great sacrifices have to be made here,
For we are soaking wet most of the time.
More of this I’ll be swimming to Europe
Maybe halfway there I’ll find the right clime.
Delete penultimate and final lines -
Substitute:
But who can deny this is the result
Of global warming; forget the lame rhyme.

it's a funny old world, innit sir .. but we've only got ourselves to blame (:
Thanks for looking in, Nev
Just as an aside, words such as 'we' and 'ourselves' make me quite scratchy and feel like names should be presented (without the possibility of legal action, of course......)
It’s hitting us all, hope it ain’t too late.
I have a terrible feeling it is.....
Did anyone think maybe the sun has just got hotter. Two days of heat in Britain and the country's gone to pot.
Can't wait till we get the wrong type of snow that brings us to a halt as well.
Some folks is never satisfied......😊
I heard UK was heating up, and 80 % don’t have air.. best to you all
Seems so, Dove (ask Andy and Co). And let me tell you that 40 degrees centigrade is haaaard work, especially if the environment is not built for it. So despite my moans, I live on high ground and am safe, therefore given the choice would prefer to get wet occasionally.
Love the last minute substitution while leaving the original in.
Thanks H. Always out to try something new - provided it's within the limits of the rules I set myself.
Dave I love the humor at the expense of the suffering. I find it helpful to look at things this way. I too loved that you left the original in while supplying a substitution. I have many times decided to leave out options this was a great idea.
Well you've really paid me back in spades for my small foray into your past, soren. I'd say this (if not immodest) is one of my recent pieces I feel most happy with.
