As Jesus out of Jericho

With crowd of people did go

And disciples too on the road

Graces He on them bestowed

 

Blind Bartimaeus by road sat

And when he heard the word that

It was Jesus there passing by

He did call out, this his cry

 

Jesus, you Son of David, see

And have mercy upon me

Many did warn him, Keep silent

But louder cry his intent

 

Persisting, Jesus, you the Son

Of David, the Holy One

Have mercy upon me, then so

Jesus' call he did sure know

 

Then crowd did say, Be of good cheer

Know Jesus does call you here

He cast away his coat, and rose

Came to Jesus, mercy flows

 

Jesus said, what will you that I

Should do to you by and by?

Blind man said, Lord, that now I might

By your mercy receive sight

 

Jesus said to him, Go your way

Your faith makes you whole today

And straightway he received his sight

Followed Jesus, the true Light
