Anniversary of Love
On this Anniversary of our Wedding day, I make this pledge to you
A renewal of my thoughts
, my Devotion yes my
love
I strive to be all I can for you
though I come up short at times
But always know my love for you is boundless everlasting
as a Mountain and the Seas
Please forgive my indiscretions my selfish argument My smelly socks and undies that you scrub and wash & rinse
I promise to reflect
each morning to amend my attitude
This day I tell you from the Heart My darling
I love You

Beautifully penned with words of such love and appreciation. Lucky lady, lucky you, but then it's all about truly loving.
Thank you Bella. She is extraordinary. Her ex husband and his father years ago sent her with s wad of cash to sort out trouble with a Yakuza boss. She spoke with him, tucked the money in his vest pocket snd asked,. We Good?
YES was his reply, then added,. I have never met a lady like you.
Four years ago I had a major breakdown when I lost my job, shaking my confidence. In hindsight the answers were before me but I coukd not see, shrouded by my ego and selfpity. Two years ago I emerged from my shell and began writing in December.
I am now the strongest spiritually and emotionally, irony is I cry daily fron joy and empathy. I am more able to assist her financially. She lives alone in Japan. We haven't seen each other for over five years as the visa application fee is 19,000 dollars. This poem was not written for her nor with her in mind, but as an addition to My Poetic Wedding, a business I have started but too early yet for customers. Weddings should pick up come Spring. It has generic resonance with most people and it is on the poem selection list for clients who wish to renew Vows.
I charge $150 for a tailored poem and recital along with their selection fron the list.
I offer to remain and write individual poems for reception guests and ask the Bride and Groom to decide the price. I suggest it could be a thank you gift. Hope it kicks off. I searched and could not find anyone else in Canberra offering this service.
Will be replying to you on A Silencing of Poets -resolution soon ❤️
