More Than Just Words

Kim C.

A word aesthetician
Experience? the ignition
I desire for the art to touch human souls
For others to utilize my words is the goal
It is a God-given gift
You need not, contradict
What a holy master imbeds in you
I wouldn’t dispute with holiness, if the person I was, was you
There’s power in words
They alter our lives
They either lead unto death, or lead unto LIFE
The tongue is a tiny aspect of the body
But its capacity? So wide
The reference? Anatomy
Words can spit wisdom
Or they can spew lies
They contribute to mental maladies, or contribute to light
“Choose your words wisely” is the prominent saying
Because words are your friends, or their job is for preying
"Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things
Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!"
Is Jesus a man, that He should lie?
You know He floods truth
In His words, please confide
Words have the power to make you okay
Or, they can slaughter you
Then it’s you in a grave
Don’t tell me that words will never hurt me
Words can rip you, break you, interfere with your bloodstream
Speak what is good, and not what is wrong
Bear that good fruit, don’t let it rot
Either words have the power to make you one whole
Or you’ll have to take back, what these idioms stole...

    great imagery..
    but, I don't know
    gifts
    sometimes get warped by pressure
    in-to burdens..
    we all different, dear poet
not all of us keep our gardens
    to showcase it
    some of us, merely strive
    to witness that 'perfect blossom'
    once, in our life
    lol
    (ain't I so melodramatic
    forgive me..
    thanks for sharing)

LOL! No worries. Thank you for the feedback! I appreciate it, truly. I have another poem called, “The Trial,” that I wrote about two weeks ago, I would love your opinion on that one as well. It would mean a lot. Thank you again.
