A Mental Mess

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

A mental mess, yes, I do confess
I don't think along the same lines as everyone else
Never have and never will
But you can't force me to take that mental health pill
Not anymore, I'm not crazy
This is a Spiritual war
Things will get worse before better
I can feel the world changing
To an evil, demented texture
What happened to belief in what is right and just?
My circle getting smaller
Not many that I trust
But the ones that I do
Understand what I've been through
Locked in mental hospital, yes that was new
It took me 30 odd years to fully wake up
Always the odd one out, the ugly duck
Things will get better, it's no stroke of luck
Everyday my eyes transfix and look up

Nice poem, and self examining to, you should do more of that and not look up; also write some more to, that was excellent.

  • L. B. Mek

    we all think we're
    the different one
    and yeah, we all different
    but still, we must realise
    we humans be 99.99%, alike
    so our waters, inevitably
will bleed and taint, each others
    colours..
    so yes, dear Poet
be You! be Proud! and sing it loud!
    but remember
    we all just fallible humans
    some more aware
    other's blissfully, unaware
    but all of us, alike
    drinking and shitting
    till our life's, bill
    is served..
    (a great message
    empowering our individuality
    is a great, trait)
    thanks for sharing
