Brothers

ForeverJesus7

Lord soften his heart,

and Lord soften mine.

Let us behave mature,

and not always wine.

Let each of us understand,

that we are both grown men.

Still, let us behave like brothers,

and love eachother,

until the end.

Let us see the good in eachother,

and treat eachother with respect.

Still, let our relationship,

with you come first,

and prayer, let us never neglect.

As men, we can sometimes,

act as men;

stubborn and in our ways.

Again, O Lord,

just soften our heart.

Let us acknowledge You,

and not go astray.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This is more of a prayer than it is a poem. As the title implies it is written toward my brother and me. Still, this prayer can apply to all brothers. For if we do not love our brother, how can we say that we love God? Persistence is key
