An ode to a dreamer

thinkerbell

I dream I'm the only one left in this world

To drink from the waters of shimmering rivers

To lie under the open skies dreaming of then and now

Living dreams that I dreamt of

Drifting past the shady glen

Past the gates of the world

In paradise my heart dwells

Oh! If only I could dream forever

I see Hokusia, in your image
and read Osamu Dazai, in your words
    Art, is timeless
    in any of its forms
    a thread of connection
    immortalising, the commonalities
in what is humane and tender
    in that we label: humanity..
'Past the gates of the world
    In paradise my heart dwells'

'To lie under the open skies dreaming of then and now'
    (a great shorty!
    thanks for sharing, dear poet)
