Angels

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

First time in my life I ever wore a cross was 37 years old

I've always been righteous and bold

But no rewards given for this, the world so cold

A harsh reality, it's like "They Live" throw on the sunglasses then you'll see

My angels guiding, I keep surviving

Seeing straight through the fog

Others appear at the end of leather leads

Like a well behaved dog

I'm still awaiting pure and complete freedom

They stuck looking at apps all day

What have we become?

All this technology a big cloud of distraction

Look out for God's angel's

Pretty soon he'll dispatch them
