The road long and lonely
Days and nights alone
Hour by hour
A silent phone
Conversations that go nowhere
Arguments going round and round
Escalating voices
Lay useless upon the ground
The lack of love
At every turn
What you seek
And your heart yearns
Love is that universal gift
To give and receive
Everyone longs for it
Whether or not you believe
In love’s absence
Loneliness grows like a cancer
When love finds you
You’ll know it’s the answer
To have love in your life
Is a gift from stars above
Don’t live your life
Without love
