Don’t look back

Dagger

“Don’t look back”

That’s what I keep telling myself,

blindly strangled by my own lies.

Immaculate days without you

became dull…

Everything did.

I’m intoxicated with thoughts,

the ones  you wickedly gifted me while trying to love me.

Everything  makes me sick,

but you don’t know that.

“You never do.”

The clothes are still clean, but I’m messed up  in the head… in some twisted way.

Washing you away wasn’t as easy,

it felt like drowning in cement.

Inescapable memories tragically placated in my heart.

And all I could do was cry.
