A Special Girl

R Ntongho

A Special Girl

Normally you are the one to write this for me

But who I am to say what should be?

We are all meant to do God’s Will

And only him alone can decide according to his will

We did many trips to Leeds

And thought they had a lead

But only the Almighty knows how we live

And most importantly how we leave

We cried many a time

When it was hard to go with the tide

But we laughed even more

And never was a single day dull

You taught me more than you would ever know

And enriched our lives more than it ever shows

And when it was time to go

You slept as peaceful as only you could do

Sleep in peace my little Angel

In Heaven’s lovely Mantel

Where we shall meet some day

To sing as we always did all day
